Theme Park and Travel Guide

  People used to say that Animal Kingdom (AK) was a ‘half day park. However, with the opening of Pandora in 2017, this park now has longer opening hours. There are 1700 live animals and approximately 250 different animal species. There are 3000 different species of plants. This park is really a giant zoo – with a few fun filled themed areas thrown in- including the amazing world of Pandora. The entrance to Animal Kingdom These signs were everywhere around this park AK is technically the largest of all the Disney Parks and this is because of the animal enclosures. Disney is generous with the space it gives its animals. Each animal has 1 acre of space each, so 12 animals are on 12 acres. The walkable part of the park is narrowed down to a few areas. The largest Disney Store in the world! Disney Spring is an outdoor shopping mall located outside of the Walt Disney Parks. It is free to enter and has enough Disney magic to still feel like you are still inside the Disney parks. There ar e p lenty of big brand s tores, the biggest Disney Store in the world and free boat rides around Disney S prings. Its definately wor th a vi sit! There are a few different areas in Disney Springs:  The Marketplace (the main shopping area) The Landing (an area along the waterfront and with many more restaurants) Town Centre (more shopping) West Side (more restaurants)  Disney Springs - many big brand shops are here. These are not discount outlet shops though! Disney Springs is easy to get to as all the Disney resort buses stop there and they have sign posts for the bus stops to get back to your hotel.
