What is the best age for your kids to visit a Disney or Universal Studios Park? Judging by the number of prams in a Disney park (see picture below) a lot of parents think taking children under 3 is a good idea. This blog post will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of every age – but also on what rides there are for each age group.

Actually, its interesting to note, that the age of your child has a different bearing on the ticket price – between the different world parks!! Tokyo is most generous with its child prices and the U.S parks the most expensive.

10 Amazing things to do at Disney Springs

Disney Spring is an outdoor shopping mall located outside of the Walt Disney Parks. It is free to enter and has enough Disney magic to still feel like you are still inside the Disneyparks. There are plenty of big brand stores, the biggest Disney Store in the world and free boat rides around Disney Springs. Its definately worth a visit!
There are a few different areas in Disney Springs:
The Marketplace (the main shopping area) The Landing (an area along the waterfront and with many more restaurants) Town Centre (more shopping) West Side (more restaurants)

Disney Springs is easy to get to as all the Disney resort buses stop there and they have sign posts for the bus stops to get back to your hotel. Disney Springs is pretty big and it’s beautiful to walk around. There is a Starbucks but no McDonalds, supermarket or even a pharmacy/chemist there. You will have to go outside of Disney for those amenities. The biggest Disney store in the world, ‘World of Disney,’ is located at the Marketplace …

This week I thought I would discuss the free or cheap things to do with kids at Walt Disney World. These are extra activities, which you may or may not be aware of – that add to your holiday experience.
1. Kidcot Funstops and EPCOT Passports Kids can get special Passports ($10 USD) at Kidcot Funstop at any of the 11 World Pavilions in EPCOT. The Passport comes with stickers and pictures of each country and makes a nice souvenir. The idea of the Passport is to get a stamp and a personal message from a Cast Member at each Kidcot Funstop. The cast members inside the World Pavilions are from their respective countries on the Disney cultural exchange program – usually hired for a 12 month stint. I would really recommend buying the Passport as it gives the kids something to look forward to at each pavilion, its educational (the Cast members at these Kidcot stations are only too happy to chat to you about where they are from). Some exciting news - we are planning a trip to WDW in 2018!

I am currently writing a (personal) Notebook for WDW that summarises my tips and notes for our upcoming WDW trip. I thought it might be nice to share it with you all online - the tips that I have found at the planning stage. When planning a holiday, I read from numerous sources- from travel guide books, amazon e-books, TripAdvisor and other internet sources. I have found different tips in different booksand below I have summarised what I have found. These difference sources of tips were also the reason for the beginning of this website! Its a work in progress, feel free to share in comments if you think something is wrong or want to add something. The tips are untested at this stage - but I will let you know how they go in practice during 2018.
